Cookie Policy

Draft — to be reviewed and approved by Maia before public launch.

Last updated: 13 June 2026

About this policy

This policy explains how the Ivory Tails website uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies. Cookies are small files saved by your browser; similar technologies include sessionStorage and localStorage, which websites can use to remember small pieces of information in your browser.

What we currently use

The Ivory Tails website currently uses only strictly necessary browser storage:

  • Loading screen (sessionStorage) — a small flag is stored in your browser's session storage so the branded introductory loading screen is only shown once per visit. It is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
  • Hosting and security — our hosting provider may set short-lived technical cookies needed to deliver the site securely and reliably.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, marketing, tracking or social-media tracking cookies. We do not embed third-party content (such as Instagram feeds) that would set tracking cookies; the Instagram and WhatsApp links on this site only become active when you click them.

Why there is no cookie banner

Because the website only uses strictly necessary storage, no consent banner is required under UK law. If non-essential cookies (such as analytics or marketing) are introduced in the future, this page will be updated and a clear consent prompt with Accept, Reject and Manage options will be added.

Third-party services you may use

If you choose to message us through WhatsApp, follow us on Instagram or email us, those services have their own cookie and privacy policies, which are independent of this website.

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can clear or block cookies and browser storage at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so may affect how the site behaves (for example, the loading screen may appear again).

Draft for review. This policy must be re-checked if analytics, embedded feeds, a server-side contact-form provider or any other tracking technology is added to the website.
